Verification explained: your ID, the selfie code and the badge
For everyone on Lusty
Verification is how Lusty ties a listing to a real, adult, consenting person. Here is exactly how it works, what it costs you in effort (one upload), and what the badge means.
Verification is optional today — that is changing
Verification is optional to work on Lusty today: an unverified companion can keep her dashboard and a live listing, and the badge is the only thing she lacks. A mandatory flip is planned — once the platform has its community in place, every listing will be required to verify. We state that plainly so nobody is surprised later.
What you submit
- A government ID document — a photo or scan of the real document.
- A liveness selfie holding that submission's handwritten code — the code is shown on your screen before you upload, written by hand on paper. The code is generated fresh for each submission, so a photo from an earlier attempt is not accepted.
The handwritten code is the anti-fraud core: it proves a live person held today's code, not a recycled gallery photo.
The flow
- Upload the ID and the coded selfie from the verification screen.
- Pending — your submission waits in the review queue.
- Operator review — a human compares the ID, the selfie and your profile photos.
- Approved — the badge appears on your dashboard and your profile, with its freshness shown. Or rejected — you receive the reason, fix the problem (blurry photo, code unreadable, name mismatch) and submit again.
How long the badge lasts
A badge is valid for 12 months:
- Green for roughly the first 11 months.
- An amber warning appears in the last 30 days, on your dashboard, telling you to re-verify.
- At expiry the badge is gone — it does not linger. Re-verify from the same verification screen; you will submit a fresh ID photo and a fresh code.
Members, agencies and venues
Members can optionally verify their own accounts too — a verified member badge tells companions the account was ID-checked. Agencies and venues have their own verification upload for business documents, reviewed the same way.
What the badge does — and does not — prove
The badge proves that when this account verified, a real person presented a matching government ID and passed a liveness check, and that the check is still current. It does not promise how any meeting will go, and it is not a recommendation. It appears on the profile, next to the companion's name, and in her dashboard. If a profile's behaviour ever contradicts the badge, report it — reports about age and consent go to the top of the queue.
Frequently asked
Is verification required to work on Lusty?
Not today — it is optional to work, and a mandatory flip is planned. The badge itself expires after 12 months, with an amber warning in the final 30 days.
Why must I handwrite a code for the selfie?
The code is shown on screen before you upload and is fresh for every submission. Holding it proves a live person made this submission — a stolen gallery photo cannot fake it.
