Your account, your data and deletion (POPIA)

For everyone on Lusty

Your account is yours to end. This article states exactly what deletion does, what is kept and for how long, and how to take your data with you first.

Deletion is self-serve

  • Members delete from account settings — enter your password to confirm, and the deletion runs immediately. Your session ends on the spot.
  • Models use deactivate in the model privacy settings — the same door, password-confirmed. Her profile stops showing immediately: it drops out of Discover, search, city pages and her public page returns nothing, before anything else happens.

What deletion does and what is retained

Stated plainly:

  • Your profile, posts, reels and gallery stop being reachable at once.
  • Your sign-in stops working; active sessions are killed.
  • Download your data first — after deletion it is gone from the self-serve path. The export is one click (below).
  • What is retained: payment and invoice records are kept for the period South African tax law requires (five years) — a money record is not personal marketing data. Safety and enforcement records are kept for as long as a ban or legal hold applies. Everything else is deleted with the account. The privacy policy governs the full detail; this article explains it, it does not replace it.

Download your data first

The DSAR export lives in your security screen (Privacy → Security). One request produces a downloadable copy of the personal data Lusty holds on your account — your POPIA access right, self-served.

Email control: unsubscribe without logging in

Every marketing mail carries a signed link in its footer — unsubscribe or manage preferences. The link itself is the authentication (a signed token), so it works from your mail app with no login. Unsubscribing kills the marketing channel only; operational mail about your own bookings and payments continues while your account exists.

One transparency note, stated plainly

Operator staff may sign in as your account to reproduce and fix a problem you reported. This is always done under audit — every action is logged — and while it is active, a visible "helping as" bar is shown on screen. You are never silently impersonated.

Where the legal text lives

Help explains; legal docs govern. The full privacy policy, terms, content policy and takedown process live at /policies.
