Payments, Refunds & Chargebacks

Last updated 2026-07-28 · Version 1.0

This policy explains how money moves through Lusty: the wallet, how you add funds, what you can pay for on the Platform, how Creators are paid out, and how refunds and chargebacks are handled. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Lusty is a directory: bookings are arranged on the Platform but paid directly between the two people, off-platform — Lusty is not a bank, does not process or hold booking payments, and is not a party to the services arranged between users.

1. The wallet

On-platform spending flows through your Lusty wallet, denominated in South African Rand (ZAR). The wallet is used for tips, paid content unlocks, and optional paid visibility. Bookings are not paid through the wallet — they are settled directly between the Member and the Creator, off-platform. The wallet is a record of stored value for use on the Platform; it is not a deposit account and does not earn interest.

2. Adding funds — card top-ups via CCBill & bank transfer

  • Card top-ups are processed by our third-party payment processor, CCBill. Full card details are entered with CCBill and never reach Lusty.
  • Card top-ups are billed in US Dollars (USD). The descriptor that appears on your card or bank statement will reference "CCBill".
  • The USD amount is converted to ZAR at the Platform's prevailing foreign-exchange rate at the time of the top-up, and your wallet is credited in ZAR. The applicable rate and the resulting ZAR amount are shown before you confirm.
  • Because billing is in USD, your card issuer may apply its own currency-conversion or cross-border fees, which are outside our control.
  • Creators may also pay for paid visibility by bank transfer (EFT); such payments are confirmed and activated by Lusty once received.

3. What you pay for on the Platform

  • Bookings. Lusty takes no commission and no cut from bookings. A booking is arranged here and paid directly between the Member and the Creator, off-platform; no booking money passes through Lusty.
  • Tips and content unlocks. Paid from the wallet and credited 100% to the Creator; Lusty takes no commission on these.
  • Paid visibility. Creators may optionally pay for front-page placement (advertising). This is the Platform's own service and is the main way Lusty earns. It is never required in order to receive bookings.

4. VAT

Where Value-Added Tax ("VAT") applies, it is charged at the prevailing South African rate (currently 15%) on the Platform's own paid services, such as paid visibility. Off-platform bookings are settled directly between the parties, who are each responsible for their own taxes on them.

5. Payouts to Creators and Managers

  • On-platform earnings — tips and content unlocks — accumulate in your Platform balance and are paid out weekly, on Mondays, to the payout method on file, provided your account and work agreement are in good standing.
  • Booking fees are not paid out by Lusty — they are paid to you directly by the Member, off-platform.
  • A payout may be subject to a hold — for example pending verification, where there is an open dispute or chargeback, or where we are required to investigate suspected fraud or a policy breach.
  • Minimum payout thresholds, currency, and any banking fees are as shown in your earnings dashboard. You are responsible for the accuracy of your payout details and for any tax due on your earnings.

6. Refunds

Refunds relate to on-platform purchases — wallet top-ups, content unlocks, and paid visibility. Because bookings are settled directly off-platform, any booking refund is a matter between the Member and the Creator.

  • Tips and content unlocks are final. They are non-refundable once completed, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • Paid visibility. Visibility purchases are generally non-refundable once the placement is active; any part-period refund is at the Platform's discretion.
  • Wallet refunds restore stored value to your wallet. Refunds back to an original card, where offered, are processed through CCBill and may take several business days to appear.

7. Chargebacks

A chargeback is when you ask your card issuer to reverse a payment. If you have a problem with a transaction, contact our support first — most issues are resolved faster that way, and a chargeback is not a substitute for our refund process.

When a chargeback is raised against a top-up or transaction:

  • The disputed amount, including any funds already spent or paid out, may be reversed from the relevant wallet or balance;
  • Your account may be suspended while the dispute is investigated;
  • The dispute is subject to manual review, and we may share transaction records and security information with CCBill and the card networks to contest fraudulent or abusive chargebacks;
  • Repeated or abusive chargebacks may lead to permanent termination of your account.

8. Keep on-Platform purchases on the Platform

Payments for the Platform's own services — wallet top-ups, content unlocks, and paid visibility — must be made through Lusty (card via CCBill, or bank transfer where offered). You may not attempt to obtain these on-Platform services without paying for them through Lusty. Bookings themselves are arranged here and settled directly between the two people; Lusty does not take part in that payment.

9. Errors and questions

If you believe a charge, conversion, refund, or payout is incorrect, contact our support through the Platform as soon as possible so we can investigate. Keep your wallet and transaction history, which itemise each amount, for your records.

Effective and binding. This policy is final and forms part of the Lusty Terms of Service. By using Lusty you agree to it. Questions or disputes: contact support via your account. Version 1.1 · effective 2026-07-28.
